Meet Dr. Weng

Internal Medicine - 18 Years Experience

Baltimore Progressive Compassionate Care was founded and is headed by Dr. Charles T. Weng III M.D., who specializes in internal medicine. Dr. Weng has been in practice for over 18 years and opened his first clinic, Advanced Medicine, Inc. in 2001. Dr. Weng graduated from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School in 1994.

Originally from N.Y.C. Dr. Weng moved to Maryland in 1994 to complete his internship and residency at the University of Maryland. He became Board Certified in 1997 in Internal Medicine and has been practicing in the Towson/Lutherville area ever since. Although Dr. Weng treats a variety of medical conditions, he developed a particular interest in chronic pain syndrome after witnessing his mother endure daily pain from severe and persistent muscle spasms and nerve damage due to Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr. Weng energetically and passionately provides progressive compassionate care to all of his patients.

We Specialize in Helping People

A sudden attack, spasm, or convulsion, as in epilepsy or another disorder. Symptoms may stop after a few seconds or minutes, or continue for up to 15 minutes. They rarely continue longer. Seizures of all types are caused by disorganized and sudden electrical activity in the brain.

Muscle Spasms

A sudden involuntary contraction of a muscle or group of muscles. A sudden, transitory constriction of a passage, canal, or orifice; spasms usually occur when the nerves supplying muscles are irritated, and are often accompanied by pain.

Chronic Pain

Pain that is persistent, often lasting more than six months. Chronic pain can have numerous causes diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia are well-known culprits. Persistent pain may also be due to such ailments as cancer, multiple sclerosis, stomach ulcers, AIDS, and gallbladder disease.
